Missy Finn, MLS
As a Parent Liaison, Missy enjoys connecting with parents and students, listening to their needs and developing a personalized plan that will foster the skills to achieve their goals. She assists in preparing for standardized testing, scheduling tutoring, practice tests and consultation services. Missy ensures that all of your questions are answered and helps make the college planning process run as smoothly as possible.
Missy Finn has extensive experience in education. She has built and facilitated math, science, reading and media programs with students, parents and instructors in both Chicago and North Suburban school districts. She has taught and tutored children, from pre-k through eighth grade, for the past twenty-five years.
Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, Missy started her career in the Chicago Public Schools teaching first through eighth grade in the Pilsen and DePaul neighborhoods. She soon earned a Master's degree in Library Sciences and began a role as Library Media Specialist. Most recently, Missy has taught early childhood education at a private preschool in Lincolnshire.
Missy and her husband reside in Vernon Hills and enjoy going into the city to visit their daughters, who have recently graduated with degrees in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa and Strategic Communications/ Interactive Media Studies from Miami University.
