Their test prep services are phenomenal. All the people are very helpful and are able to pinpoint exactly what needs to be worked on very easily, as well as provide specific material to practice those weak points. The weekly sessions are the perfect time frame as they aren’t overbearing and give you plenty of time to practice. They have nearly infinite practice material as well which was the most helpful part for me. I was able to bring my act from a high score in the 20’s to the mid 30’s. Truly thankful that we found our way to Laura George for ACT prep for my daughter. While we wanted her to achieve the best score possible, we knew we wanted ACT prep that she could “enjoy” and manage with her already full load of sports and academics. Balance was important, especially knowing the pressure cooker that area high schools can be for our young people.

Our daughter began the prep the summer ahead of her junior year. She was hoping to have a lot of the work out of the way, so she could focus on her classes and sports schedule during her junior school year.

The scheduling is flexible and accommodating, which was huge for us. The tutors are effective and my daughter actually enjoyed her time with them. Another huge benefit to their program. Definitely recommend LGC. We did test prep tutoring and CA essay with Laura herself for our junior. Our student liked all her tutors and felt safe/comfortable in their nice/clean office in Lincolnshire. She enjoyed working with Laura for her CA essay and how Laura brought out topics and connections. Our student raised her ACT score by 6 points and was satisfied. One of the best features is their Parent Liaison who is your go-to person and stays with you the whole time. Our Parent Liaison is Lavinia and she is knowledgeable/ compassionate and is now helping us with our younger student. Laura was very accommodating with all of our needs and is wiling to work with you, which is all we can ask for. They brainstormed essay topics, reviewed drafts and discussed how they might be improved during one-on-one video chat sessions. Karen’s feedback boosted my daughter’s confidence, but she never felt that her work was being done for her. We were completely lost when my daughter announced to us one year ago that she would have liked to join a top American university. She has always been a very brilliant student, but we did not have any idea of how to deal with the American platform in order to create her profile and “post “any request for admission. This was July 2020 and we found the name of the American platform (Common Application) at that time and what she should have had to go through: writing essays was the most difficult part since here in Europe essays are not the same and most of the time they are not even requested. Before panicking, I decided to google for help on “American essay writing procedure”. And then, I realized how much it was difficult to find, among the long list of consulting firms on essay writing, the one which was professional enough to help me out. Laura Consulting was the one I chose due to the professional experiences and academic background of the entire team. They are extremely high standing.

I was not wrong: Laura was immensely helpful. She understood right from the very beginning what were our needs, and she was really outstanding with my daughter. Laura had regular Zoom meetings with her and after less than 2 months my daughter was completely confident to apply for an early action in one of the top 20 US universities.
