Kelly O'Hara, MBA, M.A.

Math and Science Tutor

Kelly is an ACT Math and Science and SAT Math tutor in our Barrington Office. Using her 10 years of experience as a math, science, and technology teacher at a private school, she recognizes the unique strengths of every student. Kelly builds each individual’s confidence and knowledge so that they can succeed. 


Prior to teaching, Kelly was a management consultant at Accenture and Bricker in Chicago where she led project teams to make process improvements across multiple industries. In addition, she started two small businesses: Movin’ On to support families and seniors transitioning to retirement communities and an Usborne Books office to provide books for children, schools, and libraries. 


Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences (MMSS) and Economics from Northwestern University, an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago, and an MA in Teaching from National Louis University. 


An avid traveler, Kelly has spent time in 40 of the states and will get to the rest as soon as possible! She enjoys photography, especially in Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, skiing, golf, and hiking. Kelly’s favorite way to spend a rainy day is playing Catan! 


Kelly and her husband live in Elk Grove Village with their son who is a high school senior currently going through the college application process. Her older son studies Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at Iowa State, and her daughter attends the University of Missouri majoring in Psychology with Spanish and Women’s Studies minors.
