Sierra is a Math and Science tutor for the SAT and ACT in our Barrington office. She is an experienced tutor, having worked with elementary, high school, and college students in all subjects. Her last tutoring position was in the U-46 district and involved her teaching a class of fifth graders how to write code and build robots. She really enjoys helping students find new, fun ways to understand difficult subjects.

Sierra grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and majored in Actuarial Science at Northern Illinois University. Once she graduated, she passed the Actuary P/1 exam and started working in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry. She currently works full time at United Healthcare as a Senior Developer, mainly dealing with statistical analysis and data presentation. She spends her free time baking, playing with her dog, and traveling to new places with her husband.
