General Info
Laura George Consulting has a superlative reputation for excellence in ACT test preparation resulting from our time-tested strategies, techniques, and the development of an extensive library of concept-specific materials. We are excited to offer the opportunity for students to participate in a newly-developed curriculum of 20 one-hour lessons taught in an online group class format.
Virtual Classroom & Tutors
Our process starts with a Zoom-proctored diagnostic ACT to gather data for the class and provide a baseline score for each student. This course meets twice a week: one hour focused on English or Reading and one hour focused on Math or Science. Our experienced subject specialists, Dimitra Buckingham (English/Reading) and Laura Hagglund (Math/Science), bring a combined 20 years of teaching experience to our virtual classroom.
Homework
Our tutors will assign students homework from our coursebooks as well as from curated practice packets containing ACT questions and ACT practice tests with explanations.
Practice Test
Upon completion of the course lessons, your student will have the opportunity to take a Zoom-proctored, follow-up practice ACT with answer explanations provided upon completion. An optional one-hour comprehensive practice test review lesson is available for purchase to evaluate a student's practice test performance on a one-on-one basis with one of our tutors.

Lectures and coursework for the ACT English section will cover test structure and content, test and timing strategy, grammar and punctuation concepts, and rhetorical skills.

Lectures and coursework for the ACT Reading section will cover test structure and passage types, strategies for timing, and specific strategies for each type of question.

Lectures and coursework for the ACT Math section will cover test structure and content, essential skills, algebra, geometry, probability and statistics and advanced math topics.
