Anne Kaske, B.A.
Anne Kaske grew up in Arlington Heights, IL, and studied at Loras College in Dubuque, IA, where she majored in Creative Writing, French, and Business. During college, Anne worked as a tutor in the Writing Lab to help students hone their writing skills. After college, Anne began her career in educational publishing. She has worked as a writer and editor in the English Language/Reading departments of publishers and writing houses for over 20 years. She currently heads up the ELA department at an educational development house, working on reading, writing, and literature projects.
A passionate reader (she never goes anywhere without a book), Anne is thrilled when she has the opportunity to help students of all ages sharpen their reading skills. She understands that reading isn’t easy for everyone. Anne knows how to break down the English language to help students understand what they read, which helps them gain confidence and hopefully learn to love reading.
Anne lives in Round Lake, IL, with her husband, Howie, and her two rescue dogs. In her free time, Anne volunteers regularly with local dog rescues and therefore owns way too many dog-themed coffee mugs and t-shirts. Anne likes to relax watching cooking shows, trying out new recipes, or hiking nearby trails—usually with earbuds and an e-book loaded onto her phone.
